We are delighted to announce the opening of registration for the 6th Joint Summer School in Information Science (JoSSIS 2026), an international summer school jointly organised by the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR, Switzerland), the University of Zadar (UNIZD, Croatia), and the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland (Austria).

JoSSIS brings together students from across Europe for an intensive and inspiring learning experience at the intersection of information science, technology, design, and innovation. Whether you want to deepen your academic knowledge, gain practical skills, or expand your international network, JoSSIS has something to offer.

🎓 JoSSIS 2026 Courses & Lecturers

Course 01: AI-Powered Qualitative Research in Innovation & Customer Experience

Lecturer: Josipa Bauser

In this course, students will learn how to utilise AI tools to collect, analyse, and visualise qualitative data to drive innovation and enhance customer experience.


Course 02: Browser Game Development

Lecturer: Franz Knipp

In this course, students will learn how to design and develop simple browser-based games, gaining hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and game frameworks—no prior programming knowledge required.


Course 03: Designing AI-Enabled Metadata and Ontology

Lecturer: Sam Oh

In this course, students will learn how to design interoperable metadata schemas and ontologies, and how to effectively use AI tools to support metadata modeling, application profiles, and semantic knowledge representation.
